What you are looking at is the possible character models of Robin (Tim Drake) and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) for Batman: Arkham City.

It has long been speculated that multiplayer would be featured in Batman: Arkham City — the upcoming sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum.

A mysterious Flickr was recently created and posted the image above.

The image has no title, but the tags for the image would lead one to believe this is a possible image of Robin and Batgirl’s character models for Batman: Arkham City.

The art style certainly resembles the character models from Arkham Asylum.

The Robin model is most definitely Tim Drake and the Batgirl model is Cassandra Cain.

Being a big fan of Tim Drake and Dick Grayson, I really hope that both Nightwing and Robin and Batgirl can all be in the game. I don’t really care if the game features multiplayer or not, but I definitely would love to see more of the Batfamily of characters in the game.

The user of the Flickr account confirmed that the image is not a screenshot or render or Robin and Batgirl in Arkham City. The work was actually created by DeviantArt user aabownjr. His entire gallery is very impressive. Check it out.

Seeing the response from the image on and other video game websites certainly is promising. I think more and more fans are coming around to the idea of having Robin and Nightwing in Arkham City. Hopefully we can soon find a legitimate confirmation that the sequel will have more allies to Batman than just Oracle and Commissioner Gordon.
